KINGS HERALDS - TIME'S WINDIN' UP

A primeira formação do Kings Heralds foi elaborada ainda quando se identificavam como The Lone Star Four, eram quatro estudantes universitários de Keene, Texas, em 1927. De lá pra cá, pelo menos 30  cantores fizeram parte do line-up deixando um incrível legado desde então. Em "Time Windin'Up, os entusiastas Don, Joel, Russel e Jeff harmonizam um repertório que remonta os tempos de ouro do quarteto de a Voz da Profecia. Os clássicos spirituals "You'd Better Mind" e "Wicked Race" estão dentre os favoritos - a palestrina "We Pray to Thee" e o maravilhoso inspiracional "My God Is There Controlling" trazem conforto e calma. "On the Jericho Road", é um animado e divertido  southern gospel marcando presença aqui; o título do CD foi gravado pelo Golden Gate Quartet durante os anos 1940 e foi muito bem aproveitado pelos Kings Heralds. Em resumo: mais um álbum de ótima qualidade, bem produzido e cumprindo a proposta redentora do grupo que a 80 anos trás paz, conforto e encontro espiritual em suas músicas! Recomendo!

Eles representam literalmente a tradição dos quartetos vocais masculinos. Com um ministério que a mais de 80 anos prega o evangélho, cerca de 30 cantores gravaram mais de 100 álbuns em diversos idiomas. O amplo repertório com diversos ritmos criou uma reputação sustentada por apreciadores da boa música sacra nos quatro cantos do mundo!  Em 1977, Wayne Hooper publicou um livro chamado "Music Scrapbook [uma espécie de coleção contendo canções, hinos, poemas, fotos, uma miscelânea do Programa de Rádio Scrapbook Music também apresentado pelo próprio Hooper.
Apresentado por duas vezes durante a semana tal programa tinha 15 minutos e apresentava entrevistas com várias personalidades, como HMS Richards [fundador do programa Voice Of Profecy], dentre outros.
